Open File

There are ways to open a file:
- Tap on the "Open File" icon
 on
the toolbar to invoke "Open File" dialog (see figure below).
- Or,
- Tap "Tools" menu
- Tap "Open..." menu item
- Select the file in the "Open File" dialog

 : Folder
 : Text file , HTML file, or Palm .pdb .prc file
 : Other file types
To open the desired file, just tap on that file icon.

Inner Code Selection (Encoding)

To select the inner code, go to "Settings..." dialog as shown in the left figure.
CJReader supports Big5 (Traditional Chinese), GB (Simplified Chinese), SJIS (Japanese), and EUC (Japanese) codes.

Chinese Character Display
|
CJReader has Chinese inner code conversion function built-in that can convert codes between GB and Big5.
User can select to display traditional Chinese character when reading GB documents or
display simplified Chinese characters when reading Big5 documents.

CJReader supports horizonal and vertical display with underline function.

Font Color and Background Paper Selection
|
Use this dialog to select font color, underline color, and
background paper.
|
|
To change font color:
- Tap on the Font Color area first
- Select the desired color from the popup color map dialog
- Tap on the "OK" button
To restore to the default colors (black font with red underline), tap on the
"Restore Default Colors" button.

 : There are 35 pages in this document and the current page number is 22.
 Progress Bar : Tap on the progress bar to jump to the new position.

- : Tap on this icon to add a bookmark
 : Tap on this icon to delete a bookmark
 : These two red lines indicate that there are two bookmarks.
User can tap on (or near) these two lines to jump to the position in the document.
