Network Activity and Signal Strength Icon

This icon is always at the top of the screen to indicate the traffic status and signal strength.

: Outgoing Traffic
: Incoming Traffic

The received signal strength indication of network card:

DHCP Control
Net@Board provides the functions to release and renew a lease on an IP address previously obtained through DHCP as shown in left figure.

To detect current Internet WAN IP (Real IP), be sure Pocket PC is connected to the Internet and tap "Detect" button.

Ping
Net@Board uses Ping function to verify network connectivity, check transmitted and received data integrity, indicate network traffic loading by measuring round trip time, and provide the MAC address of an IP address in the same subnet.

IP Information
IP Infomation shows the network card information, including type and speed of the network card, MAC address, IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS servers, and WINS servers.

802.11 Scanner
It is a Wi-Fi surveying tool for the Pocket PC. Use this function to show the information of access points nearby:
  • Current Associated Access Point SSID And Its BSSID
  • Access Point SSID
  • Access Point Signal Strength : Very Good
    : Good
    : Low
    : Very Low
    : No SIgnal
  • Access Point WEP Status
    : WEP Enabled

Wireless Card Information
Use this function to show the network card's radio configuration parameters:
  • Beacon: The interval between beacon message transmission. This value is specified in Kusec (1024 usec).
  • ATIMWindow: The ATIM window is a short time period immediately after the transmission of each beacon in an IBSS configuration.
  • Frequency
  • Authentication: Open Authentication Mode or Shared Authentication Mode
  • Network Type: Frequency-Hopping Spread-Spectrum(FHSS) or Direct Sequencing Spread-Spectrum (DSSS)
  • Mode: Independent Basic Service Set Mode (ad hoc mode) (IBSS) or Infrastructure Mode
  • WEP: Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) Enabled or Disabled

Wireless AP Intruder Detector
Use this function to detect unwanted network intruders:
  • Tap "Detect" button to detect your whole network (class-c domain).
  • Tap "Export" button to save the scanned result to Excel .csv Files.
  • : This Host is in the Safe List.
  • : This Host is not in the Safe List.
  • Short Tap on or to Remove/Add it from/to the Safe List.

Net@Board Options Dialog

Follow the steps below to navigate to Net@Board options dialog:
  1. Tap "Start" menu on your Pocket PC Today screen.
  2. Tap "Settings" menu item.
  3. Tap (Today) icon.
  4. Tap "Items" tag.
  5. Select "Net@Board" item.
  6. Tap "Options..." button.
Adapter Dialog

Use this dialog to select an adapter to monitor.
Options Dialog

Use this dialog to manage traffic log and network activity icon location.
